Rolling Car Crushed Joe Feller.
Funeral Held Monday For Victim of Early Friday Accident.

Final rites were held Monday for Joseph N. Feller, 29, who was killed early Friday when the car in which he was a passenger left the road at the Brauch corner and rolled over several times.

Driver and owner of the car was Lloyd Anderson, who was released from Sacred Heart hospital Monday, as was Mrs. Laura Feller, wife of the victim.

The other passenger in the crash was reported to be in good condition and improving. He is Oliver Albright, 21.

Both Anderson and Albright were said to have suffered broken ankles, while Mrs. Feller’s injuries consisted of a broken collar bone and cuts.

Joe Feller, 29, was an employee of Armour & Co. in Sioux City, was killed when he was hurled from the car, which rolled 400 feet before coming to a rest on its top.

The two-door 1940 car was coming from Remsen enroute to LeMars.

State Patrolman George Addison who investigated the accident said the car missed a sharp curve on highway 3 and 5 near the Brauch farm.

All four occupants were thrown from the vehicle which evidently rolled over Mr. Feller, who suffered a broken neck and crushed chest.

Patrolman Addison and Plymouth County Sheriff Frank Scholer were called to the accident scene by William Anderson, farmer nearby who heard the crash.

Funeral services for Mr. Feller were held Monday morning at the St. Joseph Catholic church in LeMars. Rev. Msgr. J. D. Fisch officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph cemetery.

Mr. Feller was born December 25, 1920, at Remsen, Ia. He moved to LeMars in 1936. In 1943 he married Laura Dominick at LeMars. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

In addition to his widow, Mr. Feller is survived by three small children, Robert, Jack, and Diane, and six brothers, and 10 sisters.

The brothers are William and Nick, both of LeMars; Edward of Quimby, Harry of Dubuque, and Arnold and Ray, both of Los Angeles.

The sisters are Mrs. Ralph Fisch and Mrs. Elmer Kohler, both of LeMars; Mrs. Mervin Schmidt, of Ireton; Mrs. Orrin Buddin and Mrs. Lyle Rosburg, both of Carroll; Mrs. S. E. Erickson of Los Angeles; Miss Josephine Feller of Hawaii; Mrs. Clarence Mensen, of Rosen, Minn.; and Mrs. Ray Lowry and Miss Cora Feller, both of Sioux City.
