Funeral Services In St. James Church.Charles J. Brown passed away Tuesday morning following illness of several months. He was born at Sioux City on May 1, 1884. He was united in marriage to Florence Betsworth September 26, 1906, at Dakota City, Neb.
To this union four children were born, two passing away in infancy. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Donlin, Mrs. Lorna Cornish, both of LeMars; nine grandchildren, one great grandchild; also his step-father, Joseph Weiss, of Sioux City.
After his marriage they resided in Sioux City and a few years later settled on a farm near Sioux City and farmed until 1929, when they moved to LeMars. Mr. Brown was employed by the Cambier Oil Co. until his health failed about two years ago.
Funeral services will be held at St. James church Friday at 9 a.m. Burial will be in St. James cemetery, under the direction of Luken’s Funeral Home.
