Arthur Hodapp
Following a brief illness lasting a little more than a week, Arthur Hodapp died at his home 903 Eagle street on Friday evening about half past six. Death was brought on by an attack of influenza in which complications arose and he gradually sank.
Arthur Hodapp was twenty-six years of age and was born in Merrill on September 12, 1892, and spent most of his life in that place and Le Mars.
He was united in marriage with Miss Virginia Weidenfeller this city, on January 15, 1916, and a little son, now nearly a year old, was born to them. Arthur is mourned by his wife, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hodapp, of Merrill, his three brothers, Michael, of Chicago; Henry of this city; Lee, who is with the army in France, and two sisters, Mrs. Jos. Kohler, of Remsen; and Miss Vera Hodapp, living with her parents.
Arthur Hodapp followed the occupation of barber and was a skilled workman and in addition obliging and pleasant and was popular with a large number of acquaintances. His death in early manhood is regretted by many friends who extend sympathy to the young wife and other members of the family.
Arthur was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and was a member of Trinity Council, Knights of Columbus.
The funeral services were held yesterday morning at St. Joseph's church, Mgr. W. A. Pape, officiating at the requiem mass.
