MRS. MARY WEISS DIES.
She Had Lived in Plymouth County Thirty-Five Years.

Mrs. Mary Weiss, wife of Joseph Weiss, owner of extensive farm property in Perry township, Plymouth county, died yesterday at her home, aged 54 years, of heart failure.

Mrs. Weiss had lived in Plymouth county for thirty-five years and was widely known over the county. She is survived by her husband, a son by a former marriage, Charles Brown; two brothers, Frank Vondrak of Sioux City and Mike Vondrak of Plymouth county, and one sister, who lives in Oregon.

Mrs. Weiss came from her native land, Bohemia, in 1877, and located in Sioux City.

The funeral will be held at the Cathedral of the Epiphany at 10 o’clock tomorrow morning. A requiem high mass will be celebrated. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery.

RESEARCH NOTE:
The son of a former marriage of Mary Weiss was Charles James Brown (1884-1947). More research indicates that this son’s father was James Brown (alt spelling sometimes used: Braun.)
