Obituary.
Edward Braband

Funeral services for Edward Braband, 80, a former LeMars resident, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Luedtke funeral home.

Mr. Braband died Tuesday at the Iowa Soldiers Home at Marshalltown after a 4-month illness. He had been a resident at Marshalltown since 1948.

Edward Braband was born at Cornell, Ill., April 12, 1889, the son of Peter and Margaret Braband.

He came to the LeMars vicinity as a young boy with his parents and worked as a farm laborer. He was never married. He served in the army in Europe during World War I.

Wasmer Post of the American Legion will conduct military honors at the graveside in LeMars Memorial Cemetery.
