V. B. Diehl, Former Le Mars Resident, Succumbs to Apoplexy

V. B. Diehl, of Mitchell, S. D., a prominent business man and head of a large drug firm, died suddenly on Saturday night of apoplexy. It is thought that excitement caused by a fire in his establishment two weeks ago hastened his death. For many years prior to moving to Mitchell he was a druggist at Scotland, S. D. He leaves a wife and six children.

Val Diehl was a brother of P. H. Diehl, now of Omaha, a prominent druggist in Le Mars for many years. The brothers were associated together in the drug business in Le Mars in the early days. V. B. Diehl going away from here after a few years residence. P. H. Diehl was visiting in Le Mars last week and went from here to Mitchell in response to a message announcing the death of his brother. V. B. Diehl was about fifty-nine year of age.
