Mrs. Ben Freking
Mrs. Ben (Helen) Freking, 64, rural Oyens, died Saturday (Oct. 27, 1979) at Floyd Valley hospital after a lengthy illness.
Helen Feller was born Feb. 20, 1915, at Oyens to Matthias and Anna Schroeder Feller and had lived her entire lifetime here as a homemaker and farm wife. Her marriage to Ben Freking took place on Jan. 23, 1939, in Le Mars.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Barbara Feller and Bernice Swack.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Oyens. Rev. Dale Reiff will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Luedtke funeral home, Le Mars. The Christian Mother's rosary was at 4 p.m. Monday and the parish rosary will be at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Survivors are her husband; one brother, John of Le Mars; three sisters, Mrs. Frank (Viola) Orban and Mrs. Kenneth (Esther) Utesch, both of Le Mars, and Mrs. Ray (Cecilia) Plendl, Sioux City.
