Caroline Freking Caroline Freking, 93, of Le Mars, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 1998, at Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars. following a brief illness.

Caroline Freking was born Oct. 6, 1905, in Le Mars, the daughter of Casper and Anna (Deters) Freking. She grew up south of Le Mars and attended rural school in Stanton Township and St. Joseph’s Parochial School in Le Mars. She had lived with her parents to care for them and later resided with the rest of the family at home.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Le Mars.

Survivors include two brothers, Gregg Freking, and Leo Freking and his wife, Therese, all of Le Mars; and many nieces and nephews; three brothers-in-law, Ray Waldschmitt, and Lyle Bohnenkamp, both of Remsen, and Leo Haverkamp of Fort Dodge; a sister-in-law, Mary Freking of Remsen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, John, Joseph and Ben; and three sisters, Mary Haverkamp, Agnes Waldschmitt and Frances Bohnenkamp.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Le Mars with the Rev. Jerome Cosgrove officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Friends may call any time after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars. There will be a Scriptural wake service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
