Herman Fortsch, a well-digger, who has been working here for two months past, died at the Duncan House this morning of malarial fever, aged about twenty-five years.
The funeral will take place from the above named hotel tomorrow, at 2 o'clock p.m.
The deceased was a resident of Bremer County, this state, where his relatives still reside. He was apparently a stout, hearty man, but the poison of the fever marked him as a victim from the first.
