Death Doings

The shadow of death hovers over Le Mars. None are safe of the great enemy.

Yesterday afternoon Oscar Brandon, aged 32 years, passed away, a victim to the fever that is scourging this community.

The funeral will take place from the family residence, Eagle Street, to-morrow at 10 o'clock.

Mr. Brandon leaves a wife and two children.

The funeral of the late Oscar Brandon took place from the family residence at 10 o'clock this morning, Rev. A.E. Arnold, officiating. A large number of relatives and sympathizing friends were present.

Rev. Arnold made a few appropriate remarks, the choir sang a dirge, and the body was carried to the grave, where it was laid to rest.

The wasted body, no longer racked with pain, is hid from sight; but the freed spirit has gone to that great source of all life, where there will be no more sickness, not suffering, nor death.
