Mrs. Alice Hickey Succumbs; Burial Here Wednesday

Mrs. Alice Jeanette Hickey, 87, Sioux City, la., died Sunday, Jan. 13, at a hospital after a one-year illness. She was born in Racine, Wis., Feb. 4, 1869, and came to Sioux City with her parents in 1875.

Nov. 20, 1889, she was married to J. J. Hickey in Ireton. Mr. Hickey died in Sioux City in 1951.

The couple farmed and conducted a livestock business in Le Mars until 1924 when they moved to Sioux City.

Survivors include two sons, Francis E. Hickey of Le Mars and J. Emmett Hickey of Sioux City; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Sioux City. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Le Mars.
