Ben Winterfeld

Ben Winterfeld, 14, of Sioux Center, formerly of rural Ireton, Iowa, died Friday, July 12, 1996, from injuries received in an automobile accident between Ireton and Hawarden, Iowa. Services were held Monday, July 15 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ireton with the Rev. Perry Schefelker officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Ireton.

Ben was born May 26, 1982, in Hawarden, the son of Paul and Debora (Abbas) Winterfeld. He, had completed 8th grade at Sioux Center Community School.

Survivors include his father, Paul Winterfeld of Ireton; his mother, Debora Abbas of Sioux Center; a brother Chad of Sioux Center; a sister, Christina Winterfeld and her fiancée Tracy of Ireton; a nephew, Brian; his grandparents, Julius and Joann Winterfeld of Ireton and Faye Abbas of Kanawha, Iowa; and a great-grandmother, Edna Winterfeld of Hawarden.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Leo Abbas.
