Adam Cooper, 33, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at his home in Le Mars.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 12, 2018 at the Rexwinkel Funeral Home with Pastor Timothy Geitz officiating. Visitation with the family present will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 12, 2018 at the funeral home and will continue until the service time. In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorials are preferred.

Adam Wayne Cooper was born on August 30, 1985 to Sharon Kruse and Tom Cooper in Le Mars, Iowa. He attended Le Mars Community High School and received his GED in 2005. Growing up, Adam took great interest in being a cook: watching cooking shows and working with his brother, Joe, at Lally's Eastside Restaurant in Le Mars. He began cooking for Famous Dave's in Sioux City, and later in Sioux Falls where he became known as Famous Coop. He also worked for a short time at TJ Maxx. He moved back to Le Mars and began working at Godfather's Pizza where he was working at the time of his death.

Adam was a great cook, but an even better friend. He loved his friends and to be around people. He had an infectious laugh, a huge smile, and a kind heart. He enjoyed going to parties with his friends, disc golfing, fishing, bowling, and listening to Bob Marley. He always loved riding his bike with his cousin, Brandon, and also 'taxiing around' with him. Adam belonged to Grace Lutheran Church, and was a youth group member there in high school.

Adam is survived by his mother, Sharon Kruse of Le Mars; father, Tom (Sandy) Cooper of Le Mars; brother, Joe (Chrissy) Cooper of Rapid City, SD; 'brother' and special cousin, Brandon Coover of Le Mars; step-sisters: Kristy (Greg) Dreckman of Le Mars, Nicole Wolf of Aryada, CO, Jillian (Derek) Klein of Le Mars, and Danielle (Nick) Rolling of Le Mars; numerous nieces and nephews; paternal grandmother, Donita Cooper of Le Mars; aunts: Mary Ann (Kraig) Johnson of Rockford, MI, Janette Coover of Le Mars, LeAnn Cooper of Le Mars, Linda (Kevin) Christensen of Le Mars and Janna (Vernon) Sitzmann of Le Mars; uncle, Wayne (Lynette) Kruse of Le Mars; cousins: Krista Spahr, Ryan Johnson, Candice Wix, Wesley Wix, Jerrid Kruse, Joel Kruse, Lauri Sitzmann, Alicia Sitzmann, Brad Sitzmann, Jake Sitzmann, Ashley Christensen; and many other extended relatives.

Adam is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Urban and Verda Kruse; paternal grandfather, Robert Cooper; great grandmother, Leona Clement; and uncle, Bob Coover.
