HENRY J. HULS IS CALLED BY DEATH
  LAST RITES ARE HELD MONDAY AFTERNOON FOR WESTFIELD MAN
 
     Henry J. Huls, 46, a lifelong resident of this community, died Thursday, September 3, 1953, at a Sioux City Hospital after an illness of several weeks.

     Mr. Huls was born December 9, 1906, in Akron.  He grew to manhood here and engaged in farming for a number of years in this vicinity.  He was a member and trustee of the Westfield Church.  Flower and memorial offerings testified to the deep regard felt for him by his relatives and many friends.

     Survivors are the widow, Voyne; a son, Ronald, and a daughter, Reva, of Westfield,  his father, John Huls, of Akron; four brothers, Chris, of Sioux City, William of Aberdeen, Idaho; John, of Monterey Park, California; and Marvin, of Kimball, South Dakota; and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth O'Connor, of Sioux City, and Mrs. Lena Andresen, of Alcester, South Dakota; his step-mother, Mrs. John Huls, and daughter-in-law, Marguerite Huls, of Westfield; one half-brother, Herman, and two half-sisters, Rena and Pearl, all of Akron.

     Funeral services were held Monday at 2:00 P.M. in the Congregational Church at Westfield, Reverend O.F. Elbe, of the Congregational Church and Reverend David J. Roy, of Immanuel Lutheran Church Akron, officiating.  Pallbearers were David Lilly, Keith Knapp, Ralph Hebeler Alvord Banks, Edward Tracy, and Sylvester Schoenfelder.  Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.
