Mrs. Hubert (Babe) Kulvik, 57, of Newfolden, Minn., formerly of Sioux City, died Monday in a hospital at Fargo, N.D. of injuries suffered in an automobile accident Aug. 18 at Barnesville, Minn.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Newfolden. The Rev. Richard Lund of Holt, Minn. Will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Newfolden under direction of the Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls, Minn.
Mrs. Kulvik, the former Lorraine “Babe” Peck, was born Oct. 19, 1922, near Akron, Iowa. She was reared in Westfield, Iowa.
She married Mr. Kulvik July 1, 1942, at South Sioux City. They lived most of their married life in the Sioux City area where she worked as a cook at various restaurants. They resided on a farm in Marshall County, Minn., the last eight years.
Survivors include the widower; three sons, Albert of Viking, Minn., and Hubert Jr., and Jeffrey, both at home; three daughters, Mrs. Noel (Dixie) Morton of Sioux City, Mrs. Donald (Susan) Madden of Kingsley,, Iowa, and Mrs. Duane (Alberta) Madden of Akron; three brothers, Robert of Westfield, Virgil of Jefferson, S.D., and Bernard of Alcester, S.D.; five sisters, Mrs. Cleo Johnson of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Henry (Beernice) Hanson, Mrs. Lloyd (Mary) Kamradt and Miss Marilyn Peck, all of Sioux City and Mrs. Marlys Brewer of Akron, and six grandchildren.
