Mrs. Maria Bremer Died Sunday After Three Weeks Illness

Mrs. Maria Bremer died Sunday, December 26, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leo Weidenfeller, 326 Second Ave. NW., after three weeks of illness.

Maria Weisenborn was born February 12, 1865, in Magdeburg, Ger many, a d came to the United States in 1889. She was married at Remsen in 1889. She was married to Ferdinand Bremer, who died in August 1941. They farmed near Remsen for several years after their marriage, the n in Delmont, South Dakota, for 20 years and moved to Le Mars in 1920 when they retired. Mrs. Bremer lived alone after the death of her husband until she was taken ill three weeks ago.

Three children born of this marriage survive: Herman Bremer, Mrs. Minnie Chamberlain, and Mrs. Leo Weidenfeller. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a brother and two sisters in Germany. Four of the children died in infancy and one of the flu in 1918.

Funeral services will be at St. John's American Lutheran Church on Wednesday, December 29, at 2 p. m., with Rev. L. L. Belk officiating and burial will be in the Le Mars City cemetery.
