Retired Farmer Taken By Death
Ferdinand Bremer Old Resident

F. A. Bremer, a retired farmer, died Saturday at his home 114 Fifth Avenue NW, following a lingering illness. He had resided in Plymouth County fifty-three years.

Ferdinand A. Bremer was born in Magdeburg, Germany, on February 29, 1864, and grew up in his native place. Coming to Remsen in 1888 he lived with a sister and after marrying Maria Weisenborn in 1891, he went farming near Delmont, S. D., where he lived twenty years before returning to Plymouth County, and in later years making his home in Le Mars.

He is survived by his wife and three children, Herman Bremer, Mrs. Arthur Chamberlain, and Mrs. Leo Weidenfeller of this city, and seven grandchildren. Five children preceded him in death.

Mr. Bremer was a member of the Lutheran church, being confirmed in that faith when a child in Germany.

The funeral was held Monday afternoon in St. John's Lutheran Church, Rev. L. L. Belk, the pastor, officiating, and interment made in the city cemetery.

Mauer's funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
