Note: His mother's maiden name was Stedman.

Fred McMillan, 82, Akron, died on a farm near Akron Thursday (Feb. 16, 1984) after suffering an apparent heart attack.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Akron. The Rev. Peter Peterson officiated. Vocalist was Gary Tucker and organist, Pam Stowe. Burial was in Riverside cemetery in Akron under direction of the Schroeder funeral home.

Pallbearers were Dennis McMillan, Kelvin McMillan, Charles McMillan, Tom McMillan, Floyd Waterbury, Jr. and Marlin Osterbuhr.

Mr. McMillan was born July 26, 1901 in Nebraska. He was a farm laborer in the Akron area most of his life. He was never married.

Survivors include one brother, John McMillan, Akron; and several nieces and nephews.
