Luella R. Utech, 88, Morris, Minn., a Le Mars native, died May 10, 1991, at Morris.

The funeral was on May 14 at First Lutheran Church in Morris. Petersen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Rev. Dean Larson and Rev. Vicki Hultine officiated. Interment was in Summit Cemetery in Morris.

Luella R. Werley was born March 10, 1903, in Le Mars to Henry and Emma Siege Werley. She lived in Le Mars until her marriage here to Frank Utech on Jan. 1, 1923. The couple farmed near Le Mars and later at Lakefield and Heron Lake, Minn., where they operated a John Deere dealership from 1935 to 1955. In 1955, they retired and moved to rural Morris. Mr. Utech died in February 1987.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church and WELCA.

She is survived by two sons, Stanley Utech of Morris and Larry Utech of Eden Prairie; a daughter-in-law, Sally Utech of Morris; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Relatives from this area include Mrs. Mamie Pech, Mrs. Margaret Loos, Mrs. Florence Utech, Lorna and Lorraine Siege, Anna Henry, Lyle Werley all of Le Mars; Orin, and Jennie Franke and Lois Plendl of Maurice, and nieces and nephews.
