Elgin Township Resident Passed Away on March 7

Following a short sickness Minnie Ida Utech, a resident of Elgin Township, passed away on Friday, March 7th, at the Sacred Heart Hospital where she was taken 14 days ago. At the time of her death, she was 76 years, one month, and 17 days of age

Mrs. Utech was born the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Piepenburg on January 20, 1871, in Germany. She later came, to the United States where she was married on February 26, 1892, on a farm in Elgin Township. She has lived in Plymouth County since she came here at the age of 18 years.

Rev. J. J. Share officiated at the funeral services which were conducted at Mauer's Funeral Home on Sunday, March 9th at 2:00. Burial was in the City Cemetery.

She leaves to survive two daughters, Marie at home, Mrs. Albert (Helen) Haas of Le Mars, and two sisters, Mrs. Wm. (Amelia) Falk of Le Mars, and Mrs. Herman (Bertha) Utech of Leeds, and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, and one daughter, Florence, who died in infancy, and also two sisters
