Sudden Death

Mr. Frank Dreckmann, a prominent farmer of Stanton township died very suddenly at his home about 3 o'clock Thursday morning.

He retired at about 10 o'clock the evening before feeling as well as usual. Toward morning he arose and told his wife that he was very dry and was going to get a drink of water, and while drinking he fell over expired immediately. The cause of his death is given as heart trouble.

Mr. Dreckman was 72 years old, and a native of Hanover. He came to this country 30 years ago, settling in Illinois. About 21 years ago he came to Plymouth county and has since resided here.

He was a good citizen and highly respect by all who know him.

He leaves a wife, three sons and two daughters. The funeral services will be held at St. Joseph's church on Saturday morning.

A Sudden Summons

Frank Dreckmann, who has resided eight mils south of LeMars for twenty-one years, died suddenly at three o'clock on Thursday morning.

He had been enjoying his usual good health up to his death and on Tuesday was in Lemars attending to business and there was no suspicion of sickness. He retired on Wednesday evening at about ten o'clock and there was no indication that he was ill.

At about three and Mrs. Dreckmann asked him where he was going. he replied that he was very thirsty and was going to get some water. While he was drinking he fell to the floor and expired.

Deceased was seventy-two years of age and was born in the Province of Hanover, Germany, where he was married. He came to the United States about thirty years ago and resided at Mendata, Ill., for five years. He came to Plymouth county twenty-one years ago and has made his home here since.

He leaves an aged wife and five children to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father, and innumerable friends who love him for his gentle and kind disposition. The children are Frank Dreckman, Jr., who is married and resides near the home farm, Mrs. Carl Deters, living about two miles north of LeMars, and Kate, Bernard, and John who still reside at home.

The funeral will be held at St. Joseph's church on Saturday at ten o'clock and the remains will be laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery.
