John H. Buys

John Henry Buys, Akron, died Thursday (March 15, 1979) at the Akron hospital after a long illness.

Services were held at 10:30 p.m. Monday in the Schroeder funeral home in Akron.

Pallbearers were Kenny Wise, Jack McHale, Wayne Horton, Barry Klave, Emil Beeck, and Lloyd Willer.

Mr. Buys was born Nov. 23, 1909 in Riverside, Iowa. He married Sylvia Bolton Jan. 25, 1946, in Leeds. They farmed on the same farm for 33 years near Akron.

Survivors include the widow; five daughters, Mrs. Jan. Spengler, Fremont, Neb.,; Mrs. Pat Ostermeyer, Akron; Mrs. Toni Teska, Pascagoula, Miss., Mrs. Donna Kelly, Westfield and Tammi Lou at home; four sons, Dennis, Dakota City, Neb., Cookie and Logan (Butch), both of Sioux City; and Bob of Akron; 11 grandchildren; on brother, Albert, Le Mars; and two sisters, Mrs. Marie Kent of Falls Church, Va.; and Mrs. Toni Dickenson of Ridgewood, N. J.

Mr. Buys was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one son, Douglas and one granddaughter.
