Mrs. Mary Hinken

Mrs. Mary Hinken, 79. of Le Mars died Sunday (Aug. 19, 1979) at a Remsen care center after an illness of several weeks.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic church. Rev. Francis Staber will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial cemetery, Kingsley. There will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Monday at the Luedtke funeral home, Le Mars.

Six grandsons will act as casket bearers.

Mrs. Hinken, the former Mary Hamman, was born June 11, 1898, to Sarah Bentz and John Hamman, at Alton. She moved with her parents as a young girl to Remsen and had been a Le Mars resident for the past 43 years. Mrs. Hinken was employed as a cook at a Le Mars supper club. She married Ben Hinken in 1915 at Le Mars. He died in October 1950.

Survivors are three sons, Richard of Le Mars, Larry of Sheldon and Ben of Bristol, R.I; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Bonnie) Baack of Le Mars and Mrs. Mary Titus of (Camden, N.J.; 35 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, Log and three great-great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Mike of California, Joe of South Dakota and Art of. Granite Falls, Minn.

She was preceded in death by parents, husband, two daughters, Dorothy Miller and Margaret Longtin and a son, Ed. Also, a grandson
