Charles Wagner Taken By Death
Was Early Settler In Plymouth County
Death claimed Charles Wagner, 89, one of the early settlers in Plymouth county, at his home in Remsen Saturday night. Mr. Wagner had been in feeble health the past two or three months owing to declining years. He would have been ninety years old in February, 1944.
Mr. Wagner came to Plymouth county when a young man and farmed and worked at the carpenter trade and made his home in Remsen since the town was founded. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Theodore Gengler, Miss Marie Wagner and Mrs. Antone Huewe of Remsen, and one son, Leo Wagner of Marcus.
The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock in St. Mary’s church in Remsen, Msgr. M. A. Schemel officiating, and interment will be made in St. Mary’s cemetery, Remsen.
