John Hentges, 86 - Retired Clothing Merchant - Expires Today at Hospital

Funeral Services Will Be Wednesday

John Hentges, 86, 11 3rd Ave. NE, retired Le Mars retail clothing merchant, died Monday at Sacred Heart hospital after an illness of several months. He had been hospitalized two weeks.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. J. D. Fisch will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.

Friends may call at the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday until service time. The parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Mr. Hentges was born Aug. 31, 1874, in Le Mars. He retired from the retail clothing business here in 1938 and moved to Redlands, Calif. He returned here to make his home two years ago. Mr. Hentges was never married.

Surviving are two brothers and two sisters, Frank, Rome, Cecelia and Clementine Hentges, all of Le Mars.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Edward, Stephen, Joseph and Leonard, and two sisters, Elizabeth and Clara.
