Ronald J. Niven

Ronald J. Niven, 29, of North Sioux City, died Thursday in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today in the Congregational Church in Westfield. The Rev. Harold Seiglaff will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Akron under direction of the Berkemier Funeral Home of Sioux City.

Mr. Niven was born July 18, 1952, in Akron. He lived at Jefferson until 1971. He lived at Jefferson until 1971. He married Carol Stanton May 29, 1971, in South Sioux City and the couple made their home in North Sioux City. He was employed by Dan Duggan Transport Co.

He was a member of the Charlie Bledsoe Archery Club of Sioux Falls.

Survivors include his wife; one son James and one daughter, Lori, both at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Niven of Jefferson; one brother Robert of Jefferson; one sister Mrs. James (Nancy) Book of Sioux City; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Helen Joseph of Akron and paternal grandmother, Frances Niven of Artesia, Calif.
