FORMER AKRON RESIDENT

Miss Pearl Visnow Was Engaged In Millinery Business Many Years

Miss Pearl Visnow, a former Akron resident passed away at the home of het mother, Mrs. Anna Visnow of Sioux City, Friday forenoon, August 7, 1931, after an illness of fifteen months of tuberculosis at the age of 41 years, 6 months and 15 days.

Miss Visnow, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Visnow, was born at Westfield. Iowa, January 23, 1890, and resided there until 1895, when she went to Akron with her parents, growing to young womanhood, graduating from Akron high school and afterward engaging in the millinery business. She was for many years an active and loyal worker in the local Baptist church. Twelve years ago she moved to Sioux City with her mother and sister, Grace, and has since resided there. Her pleasing personality and friendly ways won her a host of friends, who regret her departure and extend sympathy to the bereaved relatives. Besides her mother she is survived by a sister Grace and three brothers, Frank and Maurice of Sioux City, and Edward, of Valaraiso, Ind.

Funeral services were held Monday in the W. Harry Christy funeral chapel in Sioux City, conducted by Rev. S. D. Huff, pastor of the First Baptist church of that city. Interment was in Graceland Park cemetery there. A number of Akron friends attended the funeral. The pallbearers were former classmates of deceased in Akron high school, Orian C. Moore, Rollo J. Baker, Vint. G. Adams, Frank Simeon, Guy and L. D. Ross.
