Note: Her husband's obituary indicated that she at one time lived in Akron and she also has a brother from Akron.

SELMA O. ERICKSON

Mrs. Selma O. Erickson, 82, died Thursday morning at a Sioux City nursing home following a two-month's illness.

Mrs. Erickson was born Jan. 16, 1882, in Union County, Dakota Territory and lived there until 1915 when she moved to Sioux City. She was married to John E. Erickson June 21, 1917, in Sioux City. Mrs. Erickson was a song writer and had several works copywrited. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two step-daughters, Mrs. Agnes Miller and Mrs. Ella Boetger, both of Akron, Iowa; and one stepson, Edwin L. Erickson of Denver, Colo.

The body was taken to the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside.

Funeral services for Mrs. Selma Erickson, 82, who died Thursday at a Sioux City nursing home, will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside, with the Rev. Stanley Ecklund, pastor of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Edward Asmussen, Donald Boetger, William Dodge, Clarence Hiedeman, Don Nissen and Oscar Towler.

Mrs. Selma O. Erickson, 82, of Sioux City, a former resident west of Akron in Union county, S. D., died Thursday morning at a Sioux City nursing home following a twomonths' illness.

Mrs. Erickson was born Jan 16, 1882, in Union county, Dakota Territory and lived there until 1915, when she moved to Sioux City. She was married to John E. Erickson June 21, 1917, in Sioux City, in Sioux City. Mrs. Ericson was a song writer and several works copyrighted. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran church.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Christy funeral home, Morningside, Sioux City, Rev. Stanley Ecklund, pastor of St. Luke's Lutheran church, officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery.
