Bradley B. Vander Molen, 26, of Remsen, died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 1988, of injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident near LeMars.

Services were held Friday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen. The Rev. Paul Eisele officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery under the direction of the Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen.

Mr. Vander Molen was born Nov. 18, 1961, in LeMars and was raised and educated in the Remsen area. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1980 and Hawkeye Institute of Technology at Waterloo in March 1982 with an associate degree in agri-business.

In 1982 he moved to San Francisco where he was a manager for Metro Parking Inc. He married Kathy Ayers June 23, 1984 at Remsen. The couple lived in San Francisco. He returned to Remsen in August, 1987, and was currently employed for Dave Plathe Construction Company at Remsen.

Mr. Vander Molen was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Remsen Jaycees and was active in the annual Remsen Jaycee Demolition Derby.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John (Mary) Vander Molen of Remsen; five brothers, Terry of Kingsley, Kenneth of Orange City, Douglas of Lincoln, Neb., and Mark and Todd both of Sioux City; a sister, Jodi at home, and maternal grandfather, Alphonse Schilmoeller, of LeMars.
