Ada Marcella Hamman, 62, of Akron died Wednesday, April 18, 1984, in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Services were Saturday, April 21, in the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron. The Rev. Neil Johnson officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Hamman, the former Ada Rosenbaum, was born May 9, 1921, at Elk Point, S.D. She married Arnold Hamman April 17, 1938, at Elk Point. They farmed in the Craig and Ruble area for many years, moving to Sioux City in 1950. She worked at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center in Sioux City for six years, moving to Ridgewood Apartments in Akron in 1983.

Survivors include her husband of Sioux City; two sons, Dennis of Sioux City and Norman of Hornick; one daughter, Mrs. Joe (Mary Ellen) Zublis of Huron, S.D.; two brothers, Art and Main, both of Akron; two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Katherine) Trefren of Akron and Mrs. Ray (Fern) Allen of Alcester, S.D.; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
