Pioneer of Elgin Township Dies At Home Friday P.M.

Death claimed Mrs. Prichett at her home in Elgin township Friday afternoon, January 11, after a lingering illness.

Wilhelmina Schultz was born in Neu Kenzelin, Germany on August 18, 1858, and was 87 years, 4 months and 24 days of age at the time of her death. She spent her youth in Germany and was married to Albert Albrecht. To this union six children were born, two in Germany and the remaining four in Elgin township, where the family settled in 1889. Mr.died in 1893 (acually 1894).

In later years deceased was united in marriage with Charles C. Pritchett preceded her in death in 1942.

Mrs. Pritchett, preceded in death by two children, is survived by the following, Mrs. John Friedrichs of Tyler, Minn.; Mrs. Gert Heeren; William Pritchett all of LeMars; Mrs. John Schwiesow of Ashland, Wisconsin; Mrs. Ed Prichett of Anthon; Iowa; Charles Pritchett of Remsen and George Pritchett of Anthon, Iowa; 33 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at one-oclock at the family home near Struble and at 1:30 at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church in LeMars with Rev. Elmer Broetzmann officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Wm. Grahlman at the organ and Donald Milde, soloist. Interment was made in the LeMars cemetery with Dick Friedrichs, William Funk, Fay Pritchett and Foster Rowe, as pallbearers.
