Lloyd Porsch, 78, died Saturday, May 12, 1990, at a Sioux City hospital, after a long illness.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Rustin Avenue United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Stanley Long officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 2 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Christy Morningside Funeral Home.
Mr. Porsch was born Dec. 23, 1911, at Kingsley, and had lived in the Leeds area of Sioux City since he moved here with his family as a 1 – year-old. He married Clara M. Hull January 14, 1932, in Elk Point, S.D. He worked at Wincharger, farmed and drove a truck for Burke Lumber and Standard Ready Mix, retiring in 1977. He was a member of the Rustin Avenue United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Clara Marie of Storm Lake, and Tom and Bonnie of Sioux City; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, three sisters and one grandson.
Memorials donations may be made to the Rustin Avenue United Methodist Church.
