Leslie Porsch
Leslie Porsch, 86, of Kingsley died Sunday, March 6, 1988, at Marian Health Center in Sioux City. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the Dickison-Michaelson Funeral Home Rev. John Crosswhite of the Kingsley United Methodist Church officiated and he was buried in the Kingsley Cemetery.
Mrs. Dean Bohle was the organist and Mrs. Tom Stauch sang “The Old Rugged Cross” and “How Great Thou Art”. Serving as casketbearers were Tom O’Keefe, Henry Boden, Michael Harman, Ernest Schweltzberger, Jim Woods and Robert Seuntjens.
Leslie Earl Porsch was born October 11, 1901, in Plymouth County, Iowa the son of Henry and Ranah (Higday) Porsch. He attended rural schools in Elkhorn Township and later attended Central High School in Sioux City. He married Agness Daniel on January 26, 1942, in Ponca, Nebraska. They farmed many years in Garfield township. Mrs. Porsch died December 5, 1978. Leslie has been a resident of the Hallmark Nursing Home in Sioux City since September of 1986.
Survivors include one brother, Lloyd, of Sioux City and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, three sisters and his parents besides his wife.
