Note: Her mother's maiden name was Cordes and the name Marie is what is on her gravestone but she went by the name Mary.
======================DEATH CLAIMS OLD RESIDENT
MRS. WEBB EDWARDS, OF CRAIG, DIES FOLLOWING A LONG ILLNESS
Following a long illness Mrs. Webb Edwards, a well known resident of Plymouth county all her life died at her home in Craig Friday. Mrs. Edwards had been ill for five years suffering with cancer.
Her maiden name was Mary Furcher. Her husband, Mr. Edwards, preceded her in death seven years ago, being killed in an automobile accident. They lived at Struble many years and then went to Craig to engage in business.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Anton Roeper, of Hawarden, and four grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Louis Collman, of Perry Creek, Mrs. J. Riter, of Sioux Falls, and a brother in Washington.
The funeral will be held in Craig this afternoon at the Lutheran church at 3 o’clock and interment made in the cemetery at Ireton.

=========================Mrs. Webb Edwards of Craig, mother of Mrs. Antone Roeper of Hawarden passed away ar here home last Friday. Mrs. Edwards had been ill for five years, suffering from cancer. She was just 56 years of age at the time of her death. Her husband preceded her in death seven years, being killed in an autobobile accident. They lived at Struble for many years and then went to Craig where they engaged in business.
She is survived by her daughter,Mrs. Roeper, four grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Louis Coleman of Le Mars and Mrs. E.F. Riter of Sioux Falls, and three brothers, Nick and Will Furchner of Blackfoot, Idaho, and Fred Furchner, living in Pennsylvania.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon at the Lutheran church at Craig and interment was made in Ireton.
