Youth Fatally Hurt In Fall From Tractor
Merlin Henrich, 10, Dragged Under Cultivator Shovel
Injuries sustained in an accident Monday by Merlin Dennis, 10 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Henrich, farmers near Akron, proved fatal and the lad died Wednesday in the hospital at Akron.
The boy was at work on the farm and fell from a tractor and was caught under the cultivator shovel, suffering bruises, cuts and internal injuries.
Merlin Dennis Henrich was born January 31, 1932, at Akron and lived on the farm all his short life.
He leaves to mourn his death, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Henrich, two brothers , four sisters, his grandmother, Mrs. Katie Henrich, of Akron, and his grandfather, Walter Cole.
The funeral will be held at St. Patrick’s church in Akron, May 30, at 9 a.m., the pastor, Rev. Chas. Ernst, conducting the services, and Interment made in the Catholic cemetery at Akron.
The Wiltgen funeral home of Le Mars is in charge of arrangements.
