PNEUMONIA SUPERVENED AS PATIENT WAS RECOVERING

Kingsley New-Times: Margaret Elizabeth Mockler was born at Mechanicsville, Iowa, July 9, 1862, and died at her home near Kingsley, Iowa, August 18, 1915, aged 52 years, 1 month and 9 days.

The deceased was united in marriage to James U. Mockler, of Mechanicsville, Iowa, March 8, 1886, and moved with her husband to Bottna, Iowa, where they resided until 1907, when they moved to Brookings for the three years when they came to Kingsley were she resided until her death on the date above stated.

Mrs. Mockler had been in failing health for some time. About seven weeks ago she met with an accident in which was quite severely burned, but had almost recovered from that when on Saturday, August 14, she was taken with an attack of pneumonia from which she never recovered, being relieved by death Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Mockler were the parents of seven children, two daughters and five sons. Oscar, who died November 3, 1914, aged sixteen years, William, of Sioux City, Edward, Merritt, James and Pearl, of Kingsley, and Mrs. Nettie Armentrout, of Manning, and one sister, Mrs. Martha Hanion, of Standard, Iowa.

In the year 1896 Mrs. Mockler embraced the Holiness faith in which belief she remained to the end. She was always a kind and loving mother and wife. She will not only be missed by her family and relatives but she will be greatly missed by a host of friends and neighbors.

The funeral services were held at the Congregational church in Kingsley last Friday at 11 o’clock a.m. and were conducted by Rev. SH. H. Lehman, of Morningside, Sioux City, assisted by Rev. Jos. Steele, pastor of the Congregational church, Rev. J. W. LaGrone, of the M. E. church, and Rev. Fleming, of the U. B. church, of Kingsley, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Kingsley cemetery, to which place they were followed by a very large cortege of relatives and friends.
