MRS. KATHERINE BEAULIEU
Mrs. Katherine Beaulieu, 89, 4311 Central St., died Wednesday evening in a Sioux City hospital following a three weeks’ illness.

Mrs. Beaulieu was born Nov. 22, 1875, in Lentz, Austria, and came to Sioux City at the age of 13. She lived here until she married in March of 1899 (sic 1896) to Frank M. Beaulieu. The couple farmed in Plymouth County. They retired in 1956 and returned to Sioux City. Mr. Beaulieu died April 20, 1962. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church.

Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Ed Gorman, Mrs. Mamie DeRocher, Mrs. Albert Schindel, Mrs. Lawrence Vondrak, and Mrs. Les Frisch, all of Sioux City; four sons, Sylvester, Albert and Vernon, all of Sioux City and Harold of Merrill, Iowa; 20 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Annie Bauerley, St. Cloud, Minn.

The body was taken to the Larkin Funeral Home.
