MRS. FRANK PORT DIES AT HOME IN BRUNSVILLE
Had Been Resident Of Plymouth County During Entire Life

Mrs. Frank Port, a Plymouth county resident all of her life, passed away at her home in Brunsville on Tuesday, June 26, 1945, at 1:15 p. m., of heart trouble, after having been in failing health for some time, at the age of 68 years, 6 months and 1 day
Mabel McInnis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Angus McInnis, was born in LeMars, Iowa, December 25, 1876. On July 3, 1904, she was united in marriage with Frank Port in Plymouth County. To this union seven children were born, five of whom survive their mother –Lloyd, of Akron; Mrs. Frances Herzberg, of LeMars; Ross, of Brunsville, Mrs. Ruth Jans, of San Francisco, Calif.; and Mrs. Ida Kain, of Richmond, Calif. She is also survived by two brothers, Alex and William McInnis, of LeMars, and two sisters, Mrs. Louis Taylor, of Akron, and Mrs. Dollie Richards, of Brunsville; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Port preceded his wife in death in August, 1943. Mrs. Port had been a member of the Plymouth Presbyterian church for many years. She was held in high esteem by a host of friends for her many fine traits of character.
Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon, at 2 o’clock, from the family home in Brunsville and at 2:30 in the Plymouth Presbyterian church, conducted by Rev. Theo Seibert, pastor and Rev. W. E. Smith, of Lawton, Iowa, a former pastor of the church. Interment was in the Plymouth Presbyterian cemetery, where her husband and two sons are at rest.
Acting as pallbearers were Charles Brodie, Abraham Miller, Victor Taylor, Sterling MacKinnon, Geo. Noble and John Robertson.
