LAST RITES ARE HELD MONDAY FOR AKRON RESIDENT
Mrs. Frank Jeffers Is Summoned After An Extended Illness

Mrs. Maggie Maud (Frank) Jeffers, a lifetime resident of Akron vicinity, passed away at her home here last Friday morning, January 1, after a lingering illness, aged nearly 70 years.
Mrs. Jeffers was born February 20, 1884, in Plymouth county and married Frank Jeffers on December 17, 1902, in this county. They had recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They lived in Johnson township until 1949, then moved to Richland, S.D., and retired to Akron in 1958. She was a member of Plymouth Presbyterian church.
She is survived by the widower; four daughters, Mrs. Lillian Crow, of Akron; Mrs. Pearl Miller, of LeMars; Mrs. Lucille Plueger, of Brunsville; Mrs. Evelyn Thietje, Yakima, Wash.; two sons, Darrell and Lambert, of Akron; three sisters, Miss Sylvian Burwell and Mrs. Nellie Clark, of Storm Lake, Ia., Mrs. Florence Essex, of Spencer, Ia.; 36 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Plymouth Presbyterian church, Rev. Charles Kruse officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Taylor were vocalists and Mrs. Shirley Timmins was organist. Pallbearers were Leslie Klemme, Randall Breitbarth, Raymond Tapper, Irwin Klemme, Abe Miller and Lowell Marbach. Interment was in the church cemetery.
