Obituary

John B. McKettrick, 76, 535 Ninth Ave. SW, longtime resident of the Le Mars area, died Thursday at Floyd Valley hospital after a 2-week illness. He was hospitalized 11 days.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Mauer funeral chapel with Rev. James Ransom officiating. Burial will be in Le Mars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home.

Mr. McKettrick was born March 31, 1894, in rural Plymouth county. He was the son of the late William and Catherine Brown McKettrick. He was a retired farmer.

He was a veteran of World War 1, and a member of the American Legion and Last Man’s club.

Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Roy (Anna) Rounds and a brother Floyd McKettrick, both of Le Mars.
