DEATH CLAIMS OLD RESIDENT GEORGE H. JUNCK WAS WELL-KNOWN FARMER IN HUNGERFORD TOWNSHIP
George H. Junck, the life-long resident of Plymouth county until two years ago when he moved to Leeds, died at his home there about midnight Wednesday following an attack of pneumonia, at the age of 63 years.
He was engaged in farming in Hungerford township until he retired. His father, the late Henry Junck, was one of the first settlers in Plymouth county and bought land in Hungerford township paying $1.50 per acre. The farm is still in possession of the Junck family.
George Junck was a prominent farmer and was widely known and respected.
He is survived by his wife and five children, who are Mrs. John Kempe, of Hinton; Mrs. Fremont Muecke, of Lincoln township; George Junck, of Lawton, and Fred and Harold Junck, of Hinton, and a large number of grandchildren. He also leaves a brother and a sister, Henry Junck and Mrs. Anna Ludwig, of Hinton.
Mr. Junck was an uncle of County Auditor L. A. Ludwig, of this city.
