Rose Beitelspacher
Rose Beitelspacher, 82, 416 Second St. SW, died Thursday at Floyd Valley hospital after a month’s illness. She had been the hospital three years.
Funeral services will be Monday, Sept. 21, at 2 p.m. at Christ Lutheran church, Grant township, with Rev. Robert Reitz officiating. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran cemetery under direction of Mauer funeral home.
The former Rose Gartner, she was born Oct. 2, 1887, at Odessa, Russia, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christian Gartner. She came to the United States and Plymouth county at age 16. She married Reinhold Beitelspacher in Le Mars. They farmed in Plymouth and Sioux county until moving to Le Mars in 1946. She was a retired homemaker.
Mrs. Beitelspacher was a member of Christ Lutheran church, Grant township.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1938, daughter Emma, son Henry, a brother and a grandson.
Survivors are two sons, John (Jack) of Maurice and Ernest of Le Mars: two daughters, Mrs. Caroling Haudenshield and Mrs. (Louise) Toel, both of LeMars, 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
