FUNERAL SERVICES THURSDAY, MARCH 15 FOR ERNEST E. GRIES.

Ernest E. Gries, 58, 419 Adams St., Sioux City, former farmer in the Kingsley-Pierson area, died Monday morning, March 12th at a Sioux City hospital following a long illness.

Funeral services will be held on Thurs. (today) March 15, at 10 a. m. at the Larkin funeral home, Sioux City, with Rev Nicholas Ruba officiating Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery at Neptune under the direction of the Larkin funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Wyman Wilson, Richard and Wayne Plendl, and Robert, Terry and Jim Gries. Ernest

Ervin Gries was born Dec. 18, 1914, at Holstein, the son of the late Julius and Bertha (Jetter) Gries. He farmed in the Kingsley-Pierson area until 1962 when he moved to Sioux City. He and the former Helen Plendl were married Jan. 15, 1936, at Neptune.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son.

Survivors are his wife, five sons, Lawrence of Sloan, Kenneth of Lawton, Eldon of Des Moines, and Vernon and Francis, both of Sioux City; a daughter, Lorraine Gries, Sioux City; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, Harry of Kingsley, Rudy of Randalia and Le Roy of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a sister, Mrs. Luella Wilson of Duncombe.
