A.W. Greenwaldt Called by Death

Services For Pioneer Neptune Merchant Wednesday Afternoon

A. W. Greenwaldt of LeMars passed away at his home this morning, at 134 Fourth Ave. S. E. after a lingering sickness. Although he has been in failing health for some time, he was not seriously sick until the. last six weeks.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 4th Ave. S. E. and at 2 p. m. at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. H. Myers officiating Interment will be in the city cemetery with the Mauer, funeral home in charge.

Mr. Greenwaldt is survived by his widow, Mathilda, and one son Herbert, and two grandchildren, Betty Jean and Donald.

Mr. Greenwaldt was born June 3, 1874, at Gutenberg, la., where he grew to manhood. He was united in marriage with Mathilda Aulwes, Dec. 20, 1899, at Gutenberg. When he, was 25 they came to Marcus, from there moved to Merrill, and then to Neptune where Mr. Greenwaldt established a business. He ran a grocery and general. merchandise store until 1930, when he retired. At the time of his passing, he was 69 years and 3 months and 10 days old. Mr. Greenwaldt was a member of the Grace Lutheran church, a faith in which he was confirmed in childhood.
