GLEN R. EPLING
Glen R. Epling, 69, rural Hinton, died unexpectedly in a hospital in Worthington, Minn.
Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Trinity Lutheran church in Hinton. The Rev. Jerome Hahn officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. There was a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City.
Mr. Epling was born Nov. 12, 1912, in Merrill and was a lifelong area resident.
He married Loretta P. Newberg Jan. 27, 1940, in Merrill.
He farmed for 30 years, drove a school bus at Hinton and was a self employed carpenter, retiring in 1977. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, LuAnn Blanchard and Esther Sorenson, both of Sioux City and Glenda Schoenherr of Hinton; a brother, Earl of Canton, S.D., and six grandchildren.
