HOWARD W. ENGLAND

Howard W. England, 77, Hinton, former Sioux City resident, died Sunday, (July 11, 1982) in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Services were 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Rev. Jerome Hahn, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church at Hinton, officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. There was a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. England was born Feb. 20, 1905, in Washta. He lived in Sioux City from 1934 to 1972 when he moved to Hinton.

He married Charlotte McNamara in 1926 in Jefferson, S.D. She died in 1969 in Sioux City. He married Gertrude Krause Feb. 24, 1972, in Florida. He was a truck driver for various trucking companies, retiring from National Foods in 1964. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 383 and Triangle Lodge.

Survivors are his wife; two sons, William of Sioux City and John of Culver City, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Lewis (Joyce) Hanson, Sioux City; three stepsons, Donald Krause, Hinton, Darrell Krause, Akron, and Dwaine Krause, Sioux City; two sisters, Mrs. Jack (Neva) Fischer, Pierson, and Mrs. Chris (Frances) Fischer, Shelton, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
