MRS. GLEN EPLING
Mrs. Glen R. Epling, 61, of rural Hinton, died Saturday (Aug. 14, 1982) at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.
Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran church in Hinton. Rev. Jerome Hanson officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery under direction of Meyer Bros. Colonial chapel. A prayer service was held at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Epling, the former Loretta P. Newberg, was born May 10, 1921, in Lawton. She had been a resident of Hinton since she was a small child. She married Glen Epling on Jan. 27, 1940, in Merrill. He died May 23, 1982, at Worthington, Minn.
Mrs. Epling worked as a bus driver for Hinton high school and also at Albers Food center in Hinton. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Dan (LuAnn) Blanchard and Mrs. Duane (Esther) Sorenson, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Steven (Glenda) Schoenherr of Hinton; two brothers, Virgil and Bedford, both of Hinton; six grandchildren.
