Aloysius Deters

SALEM, S.D. – Aloysius F. Deters, 64, a Salem resident since 1951, died Sunday in St. Joseph Hospital, Mitchell.

Mr. Deters was born May 8, 1919, in Le Mars, Iowa. He married Erlena Reichling Jan. 4, 1947, Howard S.D., areas several years before they moved to Salem. He was employed at Feteral Manufacturing in Salem until he retired in 1981. Mr. Deters was a veteran of World War II.

His wife died in 1981.

Survivors include three sons: Leo, Des Moines, Iowa; and Paul and Henry, both of Salem; three daughters; Mrs. J. C. (Barbara) Morvant, Germany; Carol, Sioux Falls, and Francis, Salem.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Salem. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A scripture service will begin at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Kinzley Funeral Home, Salem.
