Jerry Dean Schoenrock, 51, of rural Hinton died Saturday,, Nov. 4, 1995, of injuries suffered in an accident on his farm.

Services were held Tuesday, Nov. 7, at Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Hinton with the Rev. Dr. Michel Boykin officiating. Burial was in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery with military graveside rites by Heeren-McHale-Wilken Post 724, American Legion of Brunsville. Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home of Le Mars is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Schoenroock was born Nov. 15, 1943, in Sioux City, the son of Eldon and Edna (Kowalke) Schoenrock. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church. He attended country schools in Stanton and Lincoln Townships and graduated from Le Mars High School in 1962, where he was active in FFA and received the Iowa Farmers Degree. He farmed with his father and later served with the Iowa Air National Guard in Sioux City. He also served with the 185th Air National Guard in Vietnam as a jet mechanic. He was discharged in 1969. He Married Karen Oltmanns July 16, 1967 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Craig. He currently was involved in farming with his brothers.

Mr. Schoenrock was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he had held several offices. He was a member f the American Legion of Brunsville, member and past president of the Plymouth County Farm Bureau, Plymouth County Cattlemen’s Association and Plymouth County Pork Producers. He also was an Archer Oil dealer.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jason and his wife, Rachel of rural Hinton and Justin at home; three brothers and their wives, Phillip and Gail of rural Le Mars, Curtis and Diane of rural Hinton and Douglas and Becky of rural Le Mars; two stepsisters, Marilyn Kreitzinger of West Virginia and Melinda Dyer of New Mexico; and sever nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
