Funeral Services for Widely Known Citizen To Be Held Friday A. M.
Edward Carel, a resident of this county for many years, passed away at a Cherokee hospital Wednesday afternoon at the age of 68 years, 1 month and 3 days. A cerebral hemorrhage was the cause of his death.
Mrs. Carel was born on June 26, 1863, at Platteville, Wis., and came to this community at a young age, where he farmed. He retired from the farm several years ago and came to Le Mars to live, where the family made their home ever since.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and one son, Daniel.
Funeral services will be held on Friday morning at 9 o’clock from St. James Church, Rev. L J. Cooper officiating. Burial will be made in St. James Cemetery, Wiltgens Funeral directors in charge.
Pallbearers will be Leo Carel, Kingsley, William T. Carel, James S. Carel, Bernard Carel, William Sullivan and Edward Sitzmann, of Le Mars. Honorary pallbearers will be Morris Redmond John Sullivan, George Plendl, Joe Britt, William Keough Thos. Redmond, P. H. Peterson and Thos. Case.
Mr. Carel enjoyed the acquaintances of many friends who join with his wife, son and other relatives in mourning his death.
